Remo Stars SC have celebrated the maiden national team call-up of Sodiq Ismail.
The defender was listed in the Super Eagles 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifying games.
Finidi George’s boys will face South Africa and Benin Republic on June 7th and 10th respectively.
Ismail’s superb performance for Remo Stars this season in which he has had 10 assists has earned him a first call-up to the national team.
“Our right back, Sodiq Ismail has received his first call-up to the Super Eagles squad for next month’s 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches,” Remo Stars posted on X.
“South Africa on June 7; Benin Republic on June 10. Congratulations, Sodiq – we’re so proud of you,”
