EPL: Van Nistelrooy arrives in UK ahead of new Man Utd role

Former Manchester United and Netherlands striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, has arrived in the UK ahead of his unveiling as Manchester United’s new assistant coach.

Van Nistelrooy opted to work with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford despite being previously linked with the Burnley job.

The Dutchman will sign a two-year contract on his return to the Red Devils and would be joined by Former Go Ahead Eagles coach, Rene Hake.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, confirmed this on Monday morning via X.

Romano wrote on X: “Ruud van Nistelrooy, already in Manchester to be unveiled as new Manchester United assistant coach. Exclusive story, set to be confirmed.

“The two-year contract has already been signed; Van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake will both be part of Erik ten Hag’s new staff.”
