The Super Eagles defender has called for an end to the uncertainty surrounding the coaching crew of the team, Reelradio.com.ng reports.

Nigeria will take on Sao Tome and Principe in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier early next month with the future of head coach, Jose Peseiro, still uncertain.

Peseiro’s one-year contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) expired in May.

The Nigeria Football Federation are yet to decide on whether to renew the Portuguese tactician’s contract or let him leave permanently.

It has been suggested that the NFF are planning on naming an interim coach to take charge of the Super Eagles’ tie against São Tomé and Príncipe

Omeruo has expressed his displeasure towards the situation which he said needs to be resolved for the benefit of the team.

“When it comes to talent, Nigeria have amazing players,” Omeruo told Arise TV.

“Even those that are on the bench in the national team go to their club sides and bang in goals week in, week out.

“We need to have a stable technical crew. A technical crew will take us to where we are supposed to be and give us exactly that we get in Europe.

“We do not even know who will be the coach in the next game. It is crazy, and it has to be fixed.”
