Nasarawa United striker Anas Yusuf has further cemented his position as the leading goal-scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after scoring a brace in his team’s 2-0 home win over Niger Tornadoes at the weekend.
Yusuf’s impressive performance has taken his tally to 13 goals, putting him five goals clear of his closest rivals, Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars and Ibrahim Mustapha of El Kanemi Warriors, who have both scored eight goals each.
The CHAN Eagles striker’s impressive goal-scoring record includes three goals from the penalty spot, showcasing his clinical finishing and ability to perform under pressure.

Other players who are also making a strong case for the top scorer award include Emmanuel Ogbole of Kwara United and Stephen Megwo of Abia Warriors, who have both scored seven goals each.
As the NPFL season continues to unfold, fans will be eagerly watching to see if Anas Yusuf can maintain his lead at the top of the goals chart. With his impressive form and goal-scoring ability, it’s likely that Yusuf will be a strong contender for the top scorer award come the end of the season.
