Brazil’s captain Casemiro has been left out of the squad for next month’s Copa America.
The Manchester United midfielder, who has won 75 caps for Brazil, has endured a difficult second season at the “Theatre of Dreams” resulting to his omitting from Coach Dorival Jr’s 23-man squad.
The 32-year-old has been forced to play out of position for an injury ravaged Manchester United and it hasn’t turned out well for the veteran midfielder.
Casemiro’s teammate, Antony, was also not selected, along with Tottenham forward Richarlison and Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus.
As expected, Neymar was also not included as he continues his recovery from a knee ligament injury sustained during Brazil’s 2-0 defeat to Uruguay last October.
