Algerian club, ASO Chlef, will arrive Nigeria on Thursday for their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round clash against Bendel Insurance, Reelradio.com.ng reports.
The players and their officials will fly from Algiers to the Muritala Muhammed International Airport.
The contingent will then connect another flight to Benin City.
The Nigerian FA Cup champions will host the North African football giants at the 15,000 capacity Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin on August 20 and later travel to Algiers for the 2nd leg fixture on August 27,2023 at the 18,000-capacity Mohamed Boumezrag Stadium in Chlef, Algeria.
Insurance will hope to get the better off ASO Chlef over two legs in the preliminary round before facing former champions RS Berkane (Morocco) in the second round for a place in the group stage.
Meanwhile, Gnama is not new to Nigeria, having been appointed by CAF as match referee, with his compatriots Komlan Domenyo Adiwotso, Jonathan Koffi Ahonto and Komlanvi Aklassou in the roles of assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 in the Olympic Eagles game against Tanzania Young Taifa Stars in the crucial U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game in October last year.
