“My job as a striker is to score goals,” Ideye said during a pre-match press conference. “With the support of the team and everyone giving 120 percent, then I can deliver.”

The former Super Eagles forward emphasized the importance of the match, saying that the team is aware of the stakes and will give their all to emerge victorious.

“We know how important this game is for the club and for us as players,” Ideye noted. “We will do our best to see that we come out with the victory.”

With Enyimba’s hopes of advancing to the next round hanging in the balance, the team will rely on Ideye’s goalscoring prowess and the support of their fans to overcome the Egyptians and keep their campaign alive.
