The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has assigned Guinean referee, Naby Laye Toure as the man in the Center for the Confederation Cup preliminary round match involving Rivers United of Nigeria and Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso, Reelradio.com.ng reports.
The match is slated for the 20,000 capacity Municipal Stadium in Yamoussoukro. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00pm (8pm Nigeria time) on Sunday.
His compatriots, Mamady Tere as match Assistant Referee 1 and Moussa Traore as Assistant Referee 2.
Another Guinean, Abdoulaye Manet will serve as Fourth Official while Mamby Diaby from Mali will be the Match Commissioner.
Etoile Filante earned a slot in the next stage of the competition following a 0-0 draw against Senegal’s Casa Sports Ziguinchor at the AU Stade De La Paix De Bouake in Cote D’Ivoire on August 27.
The Burkina Faso club qualified by virtue of the away goals rule having played out a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Senegal.
Meanwhile, Rivers United were also drawn bye in the first stage of the competition.
The second leg will be played at the home of Rivers United, Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Sunday 1st October by 3:00pm.
