Cameroon and Nigeria battle to a stalemate: Second Leg to decide fate of Olympic qualification

In a tense and thrilling match, Cameroon and Nigeria played to a goalless draw in the first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers in Doula, Cameroon.

Both teams fought hard, but neither side was able to break the deadlock.

Nigeria see their goal cancelled in the 54th minute after substitute Echegini thought she had the ball in the net, but the match official ruled out for offside.

The result leaves the second leg, to be played on February 26, as a must-win for both sides.

The stakes are high, with the winner advancing to the Olympic games in Paris later this year.

Both the Super Falcons and the Indomitable Lionesses will clash in the second leg at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Monday evening.
