Defending champions Dino SC commenced their campaign in the 19th edition of the Lagos Supremacy Cup with a remarkable performance on Wednesday morning.

Ikorodu City, Beyond Limits Football Academy, Seamoriow, and 36 Lion also achieved victories as the tournament commenced to an enthusiastic audience, who relished a day filled with thrilling matches at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.

In a contest between well-known rivals, Dino SC secured a 2-0 victory over 36 Lion, thereby asserting their dominance.

Amos Amuzu was instrumental in scoring one of the goals for Dino SC, while Seun Lawal of Lion unfortunately failed to convert a penalty opportunity.

In the second match, the current champions of the Viareggio Cup, Beyond Limits Football Academy, achieved a narrow 1-0 victory over Seamoriow, with Akinoche Merveille netting the crucial goal, assisted by Meliga Promise.

Earlier in the match, Meliga had provided Merveille with an opportunity in the 51st minute, but the striker’s attempt struck the crossbar.

The day’s third match was marked by excitement and tension.

Ikorodu City demonstrated their attacking strength by securing a decisive 3-0 win against Real Sapphire FC.

Wisdom Ubani, a former player for the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles, accomplished a remarkable hat trick.

Adam Ismail contributed with two goals, while Abidemi Amole added another, creating an electrifying atmosphere at the Waterfront.

The Oga Boys confirmed their victory late in the game with a composed finish from Malik Musa.

In another match, FC Bethel and Charlessann FC ended in a goalless stalemate.

During the second round of matches, Dino SC seemed poised for another win, but Broad City fought back to secure a 2-2 draw.

Dino took an early advantage when Samuel Asogbon capitalized on a mistake by Broad City goalkeeper Ibrahim Raman. However, the response was swift, as winger Uzoma Gerald scored in the 35th minute, much to the delight of his teammates.

Dino regained the lead with a spectacular goal from Zakari Haruna, who curled a shot into the top right corner.

Broad City equalized through Badmus Ahmed, resulting in a thrilling encounter that concluded in a draw.

In other developments, Seamoriow rebounded from their loss to Beyond Limits with a 2-1 victory over MS Success FC.

36 Lion emerged victorious against a determined Real Sapphire, winning 2-0.

The wounded Lion made a significant impact in the 35th minute when Cisse Mamady delivered a precise cross into the penalty area, which Alex John converted with a well-placed header.

Benin Republic international Samson Akinyoola showcased his talent by skillfully dribbling past both his defender and the goalkeeper before scoring the second goal.
