Nigeria’s Super Eagles winger Anayo Emmanuel Iwuala has joined the Gulf club Al Arabi of Kuwait for $250,000, Reelradio.com.ng reports.
The fleet-footed winger donned the shirt of Nigerian Professional League side, Enyimba, before leaving the shores of the country to join Tunisian side, Espérance de Tunis in the summer of 2021, scoring the only goal to help the team win the Tunisian Super Cup. That would go on to become the only goal he would score for Espérance.
Iwuala spent last season with the Algeria side CR Belouzidad on loan from the Tunisia giant Esperance, scoring five goals and made four assists for the Algerian club.
Belouzidad approached the management of ESS Tunis to get him permanently but both clubs failed to agree on a fee.
The Nigerian wingers transfer from Esperance de Tunis to Al Arabi SC is said to worth €225k per Transfermakrt.
Before his move to Al Arabi SC, Anayo Iwuala represented Esperance at the Arab Club Championship but there was no route back into the hearts of the Coaching staff hence the decision to move to Kuwait.
