Rena Wakama’s team started the opening quarter with a determination to bounce back from their previous loss to Germany in the pre-Olympics game, where they fell short by 14 points, 77-63. Despite their efforts, they found themselves trailing by 6 points, 21-15.
In the second quarter, Serbia widened their lead over D’Tigress, increasing the gap to 10 points with a score of 39-29.
Serbia demonstrated their resilience in the third quarter, asserting their dominance with a 10-point lead of 55-45, which led to D’Tigress having to fight for a comeback in the fourth quarter.
Despite Nigeria’s efforts to narrow the deficit in the fourth quarter, Serbia maintained their lead and clinched the victory.
