EPL: Chelsea Leapfrogs Manchester City and Newcastle with 3-1 Win Over Wolves

Chelsea secured a crucial 3-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers, ending their five-match winless streak in the Premier League. The win propelled the Blues back into the top four, leapfrogging Manchester City and Newcastle in the process.

Tosin’s goal, initially ruled offside but awarded after a VAR review, gave Chelsea the lead. However, Wolves equalized just before halftime through Doherty, capitalizing on a Sanchez error.

The second half saw Chelsea take control, with Cucurella bundling in from close range on the hour mark, followed by Madueke’s header from Chalobah’s goalward header. Jackson added another goal, albeit from an offside position, before missing a presentable chance.

Wolves continued to test Sanchez but failed to convert, leaving them 17th in the standings, just four goals clear of the relegation zone. Their next four league outings will be against Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Bournemouth.

Chelsea’s next challenge will be a trip to Manchester City on Saturday evening.
