New Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has just touched down in England, eager to connect with players from Nigeria’s Premier League and share his vision ahead of the pivotal 2026 World Cup qualifiers, as reported by Reelradio.com.ng.

The Franco-Malian coach plans to meet with several Nigerian international stars, including Fulham’s Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, along with Nottingham Forest’s Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi.

He might also visit Southampton’s Paul Onuachu and Joe Aribo while he’s there.

Accompanied by his assistant, Hedi Taboubi, Chelle’s itinerary focuses on getting the players ready for Nigeria’s crucial matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe next month.

Nigeria’s path to qualification is precarious. After four games, the Super Eagles find themselves in fifth place in Group C with only three points, trailing leaders Rwanda by four points. With only the top two teams earning a World Cup spot, Chelle is determined to turn the team’s fortunes around—it’s his top priority.
