Slovenia and Denmark share the points in their opening game of Euro 2024 with a 1-1 draw at the Stuttgart Arena.

The Danes dominated throughout, but Kasper Hjulmand’s side couldn’t hold onto their lead in the second half.

Denmark opened the scoring early on as Eriksen arrived in the penalty area to fire home after a clever flick from Wind.

After the break, Denmark continued to enjoy plenty of possession, but they struggled to create too many chances.

Hojlund had an excellent opportunity to double their lead, but Oblak made a superb save from a few yards out.

In the 77th minute, Slovenia found an equaliser as Janza’s thunderous strike deflected off Morten Hjulmand before nestling into the back of the net, leaving Schmeichel with no chance.

Kek’s men held on to secure an impressive point against the Danes. Up next for Slovenia is Serbia, while Denmark face England on Thursday.
