Everton hold mild interest in Nigerian striker Iheanacho. However, the Toffees have not made any official approach for the 26 year old yet, Reelradio.com.ng understand.
Iheanacho has been at Leicester since 2017 and is now in the final year of his contract. With his deal expiring in 2024, a number of sides have shown interest in Iheanacho.
Iheanacho made 35 appearances for the Foxes in the 2022-23 season and ended up scoring eight goals and provided five assists. AS Roma, Besiktas and Galatasaray have been keen on the 26 year old Leicester striker whereas from England, Burnley and Nottingham Forest are competing with Everton for Iheanacho.
As things stand, the Merseysiders are not considering Iheanacho as a priority signing and have only mild interest, indicating that perhaps Salernitana’s Dia is their priority striker target now.
Iheanacho is a decent bet as he has plenty of Premier League experience and he has excelled when a he has a front man around him, like Jamie Vardy at Leicester City.
