Former Golden Eagles captain Samson Tijani on loan to Wolfsberger AC

Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg have announced that Super Eagles midfielder Samson Tijani has joined Bundesliga rivals Wolfsberger AC, Reelradio.com.ng gathered.

Tijani will be spending the remainder of the 2023-2024 campaign on loan at Wolfsberger AC, who are fifth in the Austrian top-flight and one of the four unbeaten teams after four games in the division.

The 21-year-old Nigerian midfielder came to Salzburg from Laos based club Collins Edwin SC in the summer of 2020. Since then he has played 18 matches for  FC Liefering, was a loan player at TSV Egger Glas Hartberg (16 matches) and played five matches for our Red Bulls.

The 21-year-old previously spent time at partner club FC Liefering and was a loan player at TSV Egger Glas Hartberg, making 34 appearances combined for both teams.

Having missed the whole of last season due to a broken tibia and fibula, Tijani will now continue his development at Wolfsberger AC, where he’ll be aiming to play on a regular basis.

The midfielder made his UEFA Champions League debut for Red Bull Salzburg against Bayern Munich on March 8, 2022, coming off the bench for the last 23 minutes.

Tijani made his Super Eagles debut in an international friendly against Algeria in October 2020.
