Jose Peseiro, the former Super Eagles coach, has indeed been appointed as the new head coach of Zamalek FC of Egypt.
This move marks his return to Egyptian football after previously managing Al Ahly during the 2015/16 season.
Peseiro has signed an 18-month contract with Zamalek, which will see him earn $65,000 monthly for the first six months, increasing to $85,000 monthly from next season. He replaces Christian Gross, who was recently sacked by the club .
With his experience and track record, Peseiro is expected to bring a new level of competitiveness to Zamalek FC.
His appointment has generated significant interest, especially given his previous success with Nigerian national team, where he finished runner-up in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations
