Super Eagles star, Frank Onyeka came off the bench to seal a 2-0 victory for Brentford over Sheffield United at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday.
It was a crucial fixture that both teams had to win but Brentford came out on top to end their nine-match winless run to pile more misery on Sheffield United.
Prior to the match, both teams has a combined 16 match winless run, so one had to give in today.
Onyeka was brought into the match in the 90th minute to replace Mathias Jensen, and after spending less than 3 minutes on the pitch, he scored Brentford’s second goal to secure their victory.
After dominating a goalless first half, The Bees took the lead through Ollie Arblaster’s 63rd-minute own goal.
The match seemed to be ending 1-0 before the introduction of Onyeka who scored his first-ever Premier League goal after three seasons for Thomas Frank’s side.
The Nigerian International was supposed to come in and protect Brentford’s lead, but he went on to seal the win with a fine finish, slotting past Grbic after a ball from Kevin Schade.
The Midfielder’s goal saw him become the 42nd Nigerian to score a goal in the Premier League, setting a new record.

The win was Brentford’s first in their last nine Premier League games.
