Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray are keeping tabs on Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi in view of possible transfer, Reelradio.com.ng reports.
According to reports from Turkey, Super Lig champions are interested in buying a defensive midfielder before the end of the transfer window and have identified the Nigerian international as a target.
The 26-year-old Ndidi is being considered as an alternative to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ndombélé.
Galatasaray’s first bid for Ndombélé was deemed insufficient by Tottenham Hotspur and it remains to be seen whether a second bid would be accepted by the Premier League club.
The defensive midfielder moved to the King Power Stadium from Belgian Pro League club, Genk, in a £17m deal in 2018.
Just three seasons ago, Ndidi was one of the best midfielder in the Premier League with Leicester City.
Leicester City got relegated to the Championship last campaign alongside Southampton and Leeds United.
The former Genk midfielder has logged 237 appearances since landing at the King Power Stadium, scoring 11 goals while producing twelve assists.
Ndidi is another player tipped to leave the Foxes before the close of the transfer window.
However, Ndidi is valued at €35million per transfermarkt, and that means that Galatasaray would have to break their transfer record to sign him.
He has also been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
