As the summer transfer window approaches its closing stages, Premier League side Crystal Palace have emerged as a contender for the signature of Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, Reelradio.com.ng reports.

The move is reportedly under discussion, with less than two weeks left in the transfer window for clubs to finalize their squads.

The Super Eagles forward has been a big part of the Foxes so far this season, starting the last three games in all competitions.

His only goal this season came in the League Cup against Burton Albion which Leicester won 2-0.

Iheanacho has a year to go on his current contract and so will bend the Foxes resilience per asking price, else he leaves for free next summer.

The Nigeria Super Eagles striker has made 196 Premier League appearances during stints with Manchester City and later Leicester City FC.

During this time, Iheanacho has scored 42 League goals and assisted 28 others. In the Premier League last season, the 2013 FIFA U-17 Golden Boy had five goals and five to his name.
