Excitement is building as the organizers of the highly anticipated annual Jagaban Cup have announced that European football scouts will be on the lookout for exceptional talents throughout the tournament.

This four-day football extravaganza is set to take place at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, from March 24 to March 27, 2025, offering a thrilling display of grassroots football.

Tournament Director Mr. Wale Joseph shared details with the media, stating, “We’ll kick off on March 24 with four matches at the Legacy Pitch.”

“On day two, another four matches will unfold at the same venue, followed by an additional four games on the third day. Importantly, there will be a no offside rule implemented throughout the tournament.”

The seasoned sports journalist and football administrator emphasized, “Matches on the 24th, 25th, and 26th will run from 7 am to 12 pm. Rather than semi-finals, the winners from each group will advance straight to the final.”

Mr. Joseph also highlighted the organizers’ commitment to uncovering fresh talent and providing opportunities for international contracts, aligning with their goals for grassroots football development.

This year’s participating teams include Ikorodu City, Dino SC, Ijebu United, 36 Lion, SGFC, Imperial FC, Broad City, and FC Bethel.

The annual Jagaban Cup is an initiative proudly supported by 36 Lion Investment, Diamond Sports, and Lagos Enigma.
