Ighalo has yet to make his full Premier League debut since joining Manchester United nine months ago, with his 12 appearances to date coming off the bench.

Everton maintained their one hundred percent start to the new season after beating Brighton & Hove 4-2 at Goodison Park on Saturday evening, with Alex Iwobi playing a part for the Toffees.

The Nigeria international initially started the match on the bench but manager Carlo Ancelotti was forced to make a substitution twenty-five minutes in, bringing on his number 17 for the injured Richarlison.

Alex Iwobi was involved in the build-up to the second goal scored by Rodriguez in the 70th minute when he played in Doucouré to cut back and the former Real Madrid man sidefooted into the net.

Paul Onuachu continues to show why he deserved to be in the Super Eagles squad for this month’s international matches after he scored his seventh league goal of the season in Genk’s 1-1 draw against Waasland-Beveren on Saturday.

The 25-year-old had scored twice in the midweek and was once again in fine form on Saturday. Onuachu put the Blue-White ahead in the 67th minute, and his strike appeared to put Genk on course for the three points.

Samuel Chukwueze was a second-half
substitute as Villarreal played out a goalless draw against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Semi Ajayi was once again on the losing side as Djenepo, and Romeu strikes in either half helped Southampton to a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion at the St. Mary’s Stadium.

It was, however, a disappointing day for Kelechi Iheanacho as Leicester City suffered loss to West Ham 3-0 in the English Premier League.
