Kylian Mbappe has set his sights on scoring 50 goals during his first season with Real Madrid.
His ambitious declaration came after he scored a goal during their UEFA Super Cup triumph over Atalanta. “I have no limit,” Mbappe confidently stated.
Real Madrid clinched their sixth Super Cup title with a 2-0 victory over Atalanta. Federico Valverde made a valuable contribution by scoring a goal. Mbappe’s impressive goal was set up by Jude Bellingham with a pass, and he skillfully placed the ball into the top-right corner.
Mbappe has set his sights on exceeding his exceptional performance from the previous season at Paris Saint-Germain, during which he netted 44 goals and provided 10 assists.
“If I can score 50 goals, then it’s 50,” he confidently stated to Movistar. Yet, he underscored that the team’s accomplishments are of utmost importance. The forward stressed the significance of clinching titles and progressing collectively as a team.
“Securing a trophy holds great importance,” he remarked. “We understand that winning is always our ultimate goal.”
In the lineup, Mbappe operated as a central striker alongside Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, while Bellingham assumed a deeper role. He commended his teammates, hailing them as outstanding players, and expressed eagerness to evolve alongside them.
“It’s amazing to see two incredible players like Vinicius and Bellingham,” Mbappe remarked.
“We definitely have the best players in every position here.” Reflecting on his debut, Mbappe expressed his immense joy at finally getting the chance to play for Real Madrid.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,” he shared. “It’s an incredible moment for me.”
