Nigerian striker Muhamed Tijani netted his inaugural goal for Plymouth Argyle, aiding the Championship team in achieving a vital 1-1 draw against Cardiff City at Home Park on Saturday.

The former 36 Lion FC player entered the match eager to find the net for the first time since his loan move from Slavia Prague, as Plymouth Argyle faced mounting pressure to secure a win following their 2-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers, which had dropped them into the relegation zone.

On the other hand, Cardiff City was equally in need of a win, having gone three matches without a victory, leaving them only three points ahead of Plymouth in the league table.

Despite the enthusiastic support from the home fans, Cardiff City started the match strongly, taking the lead in the 12th minute with a goal from Yousef Salech, a lead they held until the halftime break.
