Nasarawa United Reinforces Squad with 8 New Signings Ahead of NPFL Second Round

By Paul Michael

Despite facing disciplinary actions from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Nasarawa United has moved swiftly to bolster their squad with the signing of eight new players.

The Solid Miners were recently fined ₦3 million, deducted three points and three goals, and ordered to play their home matches behind closed doors due to fans’ misconduct. However, the club has responded positively by unveiling a new crop of players to strengthen their squad ahead of the NPFL second round, which kicks off on January 25th, 2025.

The new signings include:

1. Benson Abbey
2. Peace Dewan
3. Abubakar Aliyu
4. Solomon Chigozie
5. Peter Eneji
6. Ugochukwu Leonard
7. Benjamin Jack
8. Onyema Emmanuel

These new additions are expected to bring a fresh impetus to the team, as they seek to overcome the challenges of the first round and make a strong push in the second half of the season.

With the NPFL second round just around the corner, Nasarawa United will be looking to hit the ground running and make a positive impact with their new-look squad.
