Fenerbahçe are ready to rival Galatasaray for the signature of Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, Reelradio.com.ng reports.
The yellow-dark blues took action for the transfer of Nigerian star Wilfred Ndidi, who plays for Leicester City in England. Sporting director Mario Branco also had a meeting with the Nigerian football player and his representative. Ndidi welcomes Fenerbahce’s offer, which has built a strong team and aims for success in Europe.
The 26-year-old midfielder is looking to leave Leicester City, which fell from the Premier League to the Championship last season. The yellow-dark blue management started the testimonial negotiations for Ndidi.
Fenerbahce made an offer for the Nigerian player, who has a contract with the club for one more year, with 8 million Euros of testimonial and bonuses. It was noted that Ndidi received information about the yellow-dark blue team from Yobo and Emenike, who wore Fenerbahçe jersey for a while.
The midfield enforcer has also been linked with Galatasaray who see him as an alternative to Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele, as well as Nottingham Forest plus an unnamed team in Saudi Arabia.
