The Albanian Superiore league witnessed a thrilling encounter between two Nigerian stars, Daniel Wotlai and Ayodeji Taofeek Malomo, as their respective teams, Egnatia FC and Bylis, clashed in match day 23 at the Egnatia Arena.
Wotlai’s Egnatia FC emerged victorious, maintaining their top spot in the league with an impressive 42 points, 4 points clear of second-placed Partizani. Egnatia FC’s impressive performance has seen them win 12 matches, draw 6, and lose 5 out of their 23 games played so far.
Malomo, the former Shooting Stars SC captain, has been instrumental in Bylis’s campaign, making 21 appearances, scoring 3 goals, and providing 3 assists since joining the club in August 2024. His impressive performance has significantly boosted his market value to €150k.
On the other hand, Wotlai has made 13 appearances for Egnatia FC since joining them in July 2024. His performance has also seen his market value rise to €50k, a testament to his growing reputation as a Nigerian Super Eagles B player.
The battle between Wotlai and Malomo was a fiercely contested one, with both players giving their all to help their teams secure victory. Although Egnatia FC emerged victorious, Malomo’s Bylis put up a good fight, and the Nigerian star’s performance was a highlight of the match.
