Enyimba FC have announced that club captain and goalkeeper, Ojo Olorunleke, will leave the club at the end of the current campaign, reelradio.com.ng reports.

The 28-year-old leaves the nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League champions after spending three seasons with at club.

Olorunleke has already signed a two-year contract with Sudanese giants, Al Merreikh and will make his last appearance for Enyimba against Plateau United in Aba on Sunday.

Before joining Enyimba three years ago, Ojo played for Giwa F.C, Akwa United, Sunshine Stars and Abia Warriors.

The People’s Elephant would need to win their final game of the season to guarantee a continental ticket for next season.

Olorunleke played a key role in Enyimba’s title success last season.

He was part of Nigeria’s squad to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, although he didn’t get any minute of football.
