Defending champions Edo Queens achieved a hard-earned 2-1 victory against Heartland Queens in Owerri. Goodness Osigwe emerged as the standout player for Edo Queens, scoring two goals in the 40th and 70th minutes, while Monica Mathew’s goal in the 48th minute served merely as a consolation for Heartland Queens.
Dannaz Ladies claimed a decisive 2-0 victory over Confluence Queens in Lagos. The home team secured all three points with early goals from Zainab Raji and Omotoke Ogunfuwa in the first half, marking their first win in the NWFL as newcomers.
In Umuahia, Abia Angels triumphed with a 3-0 win over Nasarawa Amazons, with Merrit Offor, Dorothy Eshiet, and Chiamaka Ojilafor all contributing to the scoreline. The Angels capitalized effectively on the defensive weaknesses of Nasarawa.
Naija Ratels and Rivers Angels played to an exhilarating 1-1 draw in a match that was broadcast live on NTA Sports and StarTimes. Rivers Angels initially took the lead through Chisom Nwachukwu shortly after halftime, but Oladeji Oluwabunmi’s equalizer in the 50th minute ensured that both teams shared the points.
FC Robo Queens narrowly defeated Adamawa Queens 2-1 in Lagos, with second-half goals from Favour Nkwocha and Opeyemi Ajakaye, while Tarfa Anastasia had earlier scored for Adamawa.
Delta Queens demonstrated their strength with a 2-0 victory over Benue Queens, thanks to a brace from Princess Adam in the first half, reinforcing their status as serious title contenders.
