After clinching second place in the 2024 Atlanta City Games, Nigerian track star Tobi Amusan emphasized that she doesn’t feel pressured to secure a gold medal at the Olympics.
Tobi finished second to America’s Kendra Harrison in the early hours of Sunday.
In an interview with the Making of Champ after the race, the US-based athlete expressed that she is simply sticking to her plan.
“Just taking it easy, enjoying the moment. Focusing on each race as it comes, without feeling any pressure. When the time comes for Paris, we’ll be ready.
I’m not stressing about my time; my main goal is to perform well and secure the win. That’s been my primary focus with my coaches. When it’s championship time, then we’ll think about the time aspect,” she explained.
