Rangers International F.C. of Enugu has secured a groundbreaking partnership with Swiss football club F.C Schaffhausen, marking a significant milestone in the club’s global expansion efforts. The deal, announced on Thursday, January 9, 2025, aims to elevate the reputation of the reigning Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) champions on the international stage.
Rangers CEO, Amobi Ezeaku, expressed his excitement about the collaboration during a ceremony at the Swiss club’s headquarters in Schaffhausen. Ezeaku highlighted the long-term vision behind the partnership, stating, “We are proud to announce a groundbreaking collaboration between Rangers International F.C. and F.C Schaffhausen of Switzerland, facilitated by Bold Base. Together we are building a legacy of excellence for generations to come.”
The deal was made possible with the backing of Enugu State’s Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, whose support was instrumental in securing the cooperation agreement. Ezeaku further explained that the partnership will foster the exchange of football ideas, talent, and knowledge, providing both clubs with a valuable platform for growth and development.
As part of the agreement, Rangers will benefit from the opportunity to send players, coaches, and staff to Schaffhausen, allowing them to gain valuable international exposure and experience. Meanwhile, Schaffhausen, which competes in Switzerland’s second-tier Dieci Challenge League, will have access to Nigeria’s vibrant football talent pool, with the potential to sign promising players from the country.
