In a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence, Rivers United Football Club of Port Harcourt has once again secured a spot among Africa’s top 30 clubs, according to the latest rankings released by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
The Pride of Rivers proudly occupies the 26th position in the IFFHS Club Ranking – Africa, solidifying its status as one of the continent’s elite clubs. This achievement is a reflection of the team’s consistency and dominance in Nigerian and African football.
Notably, Rivers United is the only Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) side ranked in the top 30 in Africa, demonstrating the club’s superiority and leadership in the Nigerian football scene.
The IFFHS rankings, which cover the period from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, see Al Ahly, Zamalek, and Pyramids occupying the top three spots, while Wydad AC (25), Rivers United (26), Maniema Union (27), Stade Tunisien (28), Al-Hilal (29), and Djoliba complete the top 30.
