Rwanda’s head coach, Thorsten Spittler, has unveiled a preliminary 36-man squad for the team’s upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers versus Libya and Nigeria.
The team comprises predominantly of players who compete in the Rwanda Premier League.
A notable standout in the squad is defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe, who represents Cypriot club AEL Limassol and is considered one of the team’s brightest stars.
Spittler plans to trim the squad ahead of the upcoming qualifiers.
The Amavubi are set to take on Libya at the Tripoli Stadium on Wednesday, September 4.
Following that, Rwanda will welcome the Super Eagles to the Amahoro Stadium on Tuesday, September 10.
