The first Group B match ends as Spain beat Croatia 3-0 in Berlin.
Spain broke out just before half-hour mark with Alvaro Morata’s excellent opener, see Fabian Ruiz played a delicious pass through the Croatian back line and Morata still had work to do, and as Livakovic moved off his line, the Atletico Madrid forward tucked the ball into the bottom-left corner with ease.
Croatia tried an instant response with Mateo Kovacic, yet his exciting run barely stung the gloves of Simon as Spain cracked their collective knuckles ready for the quick one-two as Ruiz went from provider to scorer.
Lamal worked hard on the right before finding Pedri, he pushed it to Fabian and he danced free to find the bottom-right corner excellently from the centre of the box.
Again, Croatia nearly responded as Brozovic fired. Simon made a fine stop down to his left, and Majer jumped on the rebound, yet could only fire straight into the right side-netting.
Before the break, Spain made it three from a short corner on the right, Lamal played a wonder ball into the near post and Carvajal poked home cheekily.
In the second 45 minutes, the introduction of substitutes freshened things up. Bruno Petkovic emerged for Croatia and won a penalty. However, when Unai Simon saved and Perisic squared the rebound for the striker to tap home, the goal was disallowed as the winger was deemed to be in the box when the ball was struck.
The three-goal cushion gave Spain the luxury to rotate from the bench, and they sailed to the finish with a clean sheet intact.
Up next for them is Italy. For Croatia the will play Albania.
