Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cooper has hailed Chelsea’s Cobham’s product Ola Aina after he made his debut in a pre-season game against PSV Eindhoven on Sunday, Reelradio.com.ng reports.

Aina was in action for 45 minutes as the English side lost 1-0 to their Dutch opposition courtesy of a 66th-minute strike from Johan Bakayoko.

The Reds were edged out by the Eredivisie side in a tight encounter in Eindhoven, with Johan Bakayoko’s second-half strike the difference between the two sides.

Aina is Forest’s first signing of the season having arrived on a free from Torino and is set to be at the City ground for at least June 30, 2024.

Speaking to Forest TV post-match, the Head Coach praises the Super Eagles defender Ola Aina stating:

“It was good to get Ola on the pitch, I thought he was excellent and showed some really good moments.”

Aina is now the third Nigerian player after Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis plying their trades for the club, and will have the chance to make his Premier League debut for the Reds in their opening game of the new campaign against last season’s runner-up Arsenal away at the Emirates stadium.
