Nigerian forward Victor Boniface experienced a tumultuous week, which took another unexpected turn on Sunday when he was involved in a car accident that resulted in the complete destruction of his vehicle.
Just hours after guiding Bayer Leverkusen to an important victory against Frankfurt in the Bundesliga, Boniface took to Instagram to share that he had emerged unscathed from a serious collision.
The photographs depicted the devastation of his vehicle and his bloodied hand, alongside an image of the athlete resting in a hospital bed.
In a post following his survival of the accident, Boniface expressed, “This is how you would hear that my enemy has died. Thank you, Lord. God is the greatest.”
Despite the trauma of the event, the Super Eagles star is reportedly on the mend.
Boniface’s earlier performance that evening contributed significantly to Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive standing in the league.
