Nigeria’s Super Falcons moved up eight places from 40th to 32nd in the latest FIFA Coca-Cola women’s world ranking, Reelradio.com.ng reports.

The Super Falcons have moved higher in the World ranking released by the world football governing body FIFA on their website.

Nigeria was one of Africa’s best performers at the recently concluded ninth FIFAWWC.

Super Falcons navigated a difficult group that included co-hosts Australia and Olympic Canada.

The multiple African champions finished second behind Australia without losing a single game despite distractions before the competition.

World Cup Debutant Morocco proved to be one of the revelations by cruising to round of 16 making them jump 14 places to 58th.

Africa’s other two participants at the tournament South Africa moved up nine places to 45th and Zambia climbed to 69th.

Spain, who won the World Cup, rise from sixth to second as the USA drop from top spot to third.

World Cup co-hosts Australia drop from 10th to 11th after losing the third-place play-off, while Morocco are the biggest climbers, up 14 places to 58th after they made the knockout stages Down Under.
