The Bavarian club began discussions several weeks ago to facilitate his transfer for next summer, while the Spanish giants are closely observing the situation, as Wirtz is highly esteemed and considered an ideal addition to their squad.
One need only examine his statistics to understand that he is an exceptional player. In the previous season, Wirtz scored 18 goals and contributed 20 assists, serving as the offensive leader for a remarkable Leverkusen squad that secured both the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal. This season, he maintains an impressive performance, having recorded 11 goals and 5 assists to date.
