Tottenham Hotspur baulk at €30m price tag for Gift Orban

Tottenham Hotspur could be priced out of a move for free-scoring Nigerian striker Gift Orban who is being lined up as a replacement for Harry Kane due to his price tag, Reelradio.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria international has scored 25 goals from 26 games since he joined the Jupiler Pro League side from Stabæk in January. This has seen him attract interest from several clubs, including Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Gent are asking for more than €30m for Orban and this ‘seems too expensive’ for Spurs and other clubs who have shown interest in him.

According to report, agent Mogi Bayat is ‘called in to find a solution’ for the Nigeria International without making it clear who has called him. It’s to be noted Bayat doesn’t manage the player but is tasked with helping him get a move this summer.

Tottenham are set to earn an initial €100 million plus add-ons that can reach another €20m from the sale of Kane to Bayern Munich and they may have to cough out approximately one-third of the fee if they intend to sign Orban this summer.
