The transfer window will shut on 1 September for all of Europe’s big five leagues – the Premier League (England), Serie A (Italy), Bundesliga (Germany), La Liga (Spain) and Ligue 1 (France).
The deadline for clubs in the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1 is at 11pm on Friday, while Serie A teams must complete their deals by 7pm.
The Bundesliga shuts at the earliest time of any of the five main European leagues on Friday – with German sides forced to finalise their business by 5pm on 1 September.
However, not every league in world football abides by the same Transfer Deadline Day. For example, the window in Belgium shuts on 6 September, while it closes on 9 September in Turkey and 22 September in Portugal.
Furthermore, Deadline Day for the Saudi Pro League is on 20 September, which will be cause for concern for many European clubs given the riches that Saudi Arabia possesses. Mohamed Salah is among the players who have been linked with a late transfer to the Middle East.
