Benin Republic head coach Gernot Rohr has unveiled his 25-man squad for the team’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria.
Rohr, who coached the Super Eagles, named 19 foreign players and six local stars for the team.
Experienced striker Steve Mooney, Nigerian-born duo Ayegun Tosin and Samson Akinyoola are among the players listed by the German tactician.
The Squirrels are winless in Group C and need to win their next two games to increase their chances of qualifying for the World Cup for the first time.
Rohr’s side will face Group C leaders Amabubi Rwanda at the Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny on Thursday, June 6. .
