The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) president, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has revealed that issues relating to the contract of Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro will be sorted soon, Reelradio.com.ng understand.
Gusau disclosed that Peseiro’s one-year contract ended last month, but due to the delay in the 2023 AFCON, on which the contract was based, the football federation will now have to discuss a new contract with the Portuguese coach.
“His contract ended in July and we’re now talking to him and his lawyers,” Gusau said.
“We hope to conclude very soon and a decision will be made based on the recommendations of the technical committee.”
Gusau said this on Tuesday while speaking to veteran sports journalist Mitchell Obi in an interview on “Sports Salsa” radio show, on Kennis 104.1 FM.
“As you know next month, on the 10th of September, we shall have the last match of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers (AFCON) against Sao Tome and Principe.”
